Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and SweetChat ("we", "us") for using the SweetChat app and website. By creating an account or using SweetChat, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SweetChat.

1. Who can use SweetChat

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. You're responsible for your account and for everything done with it.

2. What SweetChat is

SweetChat is interactive fiction. Every character is fictional and their messages are generated by artificial intelligence. You are not talking to a real person. Characters may say things that are inaccurate, unexpected or not what you'd like. Nothing a character says is advice of any kind, including medical, legal, financial or mental health advice.

3. Your content and behavior

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and process it to run SweetChat, including generating replies. You agree not to:

• Use SweetChat if you're under 18, or try to involve minors in any way.
• Try to make characters produce sexually explicit content, content involving minors, or content that promotes violence, self-harm or illegal activity.
• Harass, threaten or impersonate others, or upload photos of other people without their permission.
• Break, reverse engineer, scrape, overload or misuse the app or its systems.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. SweetChat Plus subscriptions

• SweetChat Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or monthly through your Apple ID.
• If your plan includes a free trial, you'll be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Stars

Stars are a virtual item used inside SweetChat, for example to send a Star, message a character first or request a photo. Stars:

• Have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or transferred to another account.
• Are a license to use a feature, not property you own.
• Are non-refundable once purchased, except where the law or Apple's policies require otherwise.
• Are lost if your account is deleted.

We may change what Stars can be used for or what features cost.

6. Our content

The app, characters, artwork, writing and brand belong to SweetChat. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them inside the app for your own entertainment.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, Delete account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

8. Disclaimers

SweetChat is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SweetChat isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and SweetChat, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms. Your use of the app must also follow Apple's Media Services Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use SweetChat after changes means you accept them.
