SweetChatPrivacy Policy

This policy explains what SweetChat ("we", "us") collects when you use the SweetChat app and getsweetchat.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. SweetChat is for adults 18 and over.
The short version
- We collect only what the app needs to work: your account, your profile and your chats.
- We never sell your personal information and we don't show you third-party ads.
- Your chats are private to your account. Other users can't see them.
- You can delete your account and all of your data at any time, inside the app.
What we collect
Account information
You sign in with Apple. Apple gives us a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your first name and email address. You can use Apple's "Hide My Email" option.
Profile information
The name you choose, your gender, who you want to see in Discover, and one profile photo if you add one. Your photo is only used inside your own chats.
Your chats
The messages you send to characters and their replies, plus which characters you liked, passed on or matched with. We store these so your conversations continue where you left off and characters remember what you told them.
Purchases
When you subscribe to SweetChat Plus or buy Stars, the payment is handled by Apple. We never see your card details. We receive a record of what you bought so we can unlock it on your account.
Technical information
Basic diagnostic data such as app version, device type and crash reports, used to keep the app working.
How we use it
- To run the app: your account, matches, chats, Stars and subscription.
- To generate character replies to your messages.
- To keep the service safe, including preventing abuse and enforcing our Terms.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To improve SweetChat, using aggregated information that doesn't identify you.
AI and your messages
Character replies are written by artificial intelligence. To create a reply, the relevant part of your conversation is sent to an AI model provider that processes it on our behalf. These providers are not allowed to use your messages to identify you, and we don't send them your name, email or photo beyond what you type into the chat yourself. Please don't share sensitive personal information, such as passwords or financial details, in chats.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run SweetChat, and only what they need:
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple and payments.
- Supabase, which hosts our database and accounts.
- RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions and purchases.
- AI model providers (accessed through OpenRouter), which generate character replies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or others. If SweetChat is ever sold or merged, your information would transfer under this same policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photo, matches and chats within 30 days, except for limited records we must keep by law, such as purchase records.
Your choices and rights

- Access or correct your data by emailing support@getsweetchat.app.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, California or Canada), you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your data or objecting to certain uses. Email us and we'll help.
Security
We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
Age requirement
SweetChat is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using SweetChat, contact us and we'll delete the account.
International users
Our service providers may process your information in countries other than where you live, including the United States and Canada. We rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.
